Somewhat. I do admire your talent, but I'm not going to let that intimidate me from striking up a conversation. However, I do feel like it any guidelines for art would be... less received. By that I mean, if I don't like a particular type of art some artist is doing and I suggest they do something else instead, they might just chew me out or laugh me off, especially if they were good at doing that particular stuff. Ya know? I guess in that sense, that limits some conversations I might otherwise strike up.
That AND sometimes I feel like I have nothing novel to add, especially if someone has already praised a gorgeous image with words better than anything that comes to my mind.
